Consultation has concluded

In an effort to meet the provincial government’s red tape reduction initiative to reduce the number of times the words “must”, “shall”, “required” and “mandatory” that appear in several AUC rules governing the conduct of the retail electricity and natural gas markets.

The AUC invites any interested parties to participate in these discussions and provide input on how to improve regulatory efficiencies with regards to the following rules:

Rule 002: Service Quality and Reliability Performance Monitoring and Reporting for Owners of Electric Distribution Systems and for Gas Distributors

Rule 003: Service Standards for Energy Service Providers

Rule 004: Alberta Tariff Billing Code

Rule 010: Rules on Standards for Requesting and Exchanging Site-Specific Historic Usage Information for Retail Electricity and Natural Gas Markets

Rule 021: Settlement System Code Rules

Rule 028: Natural Gas Settlement System Code Rules
